FreshVac 3-405TC Professional 12-Piece Polycarbonate Vacuum-Sealing Food-Storage Container Set with Dividers Review
I’ve been using these over a year now and they do an incredible job of extending freshness. Although they are great for everything, I find them especially helpful with vegetables, all berries, grapes, cut fruit, and lettuce. You can extend the freshness on most items at least another five days. To get the best results (1) do not wash items before storing them, (2) fold a paper towel (cut for smaller containers) and line the bottom at least 2-ply, (3) expel as much air as possible, and (4) if you seen condensation inside the lid, dry it. I have quite a collection of these, when I go shopping I take the time either the same or the next day to put everything in the containers before they start deteriorating. Yes, they are more costly, but not as cotsly as throwing away lettuce, mushrooms, and strawberries after a few days. I love that they are clear, so food/leftovers are not forgotten, again a cost saver. Round containers waste space; none of these are round! The come with “replacement” vacuum valves, I have yet to use one. Since they do such a great job maintaining crispness, if desired, shred and chop extra of your salad fixings to use all week. I have a tendency to handwash mine as I don’t want them tied up in the washer. Even tomato sauce, no staining. I’m not sure if the valve and seal are as enduring when the dishwaher is the normal cleaning mode. On this set, I do use the dividers for leftovers. I’ve been using the Professional series and cannot comment on the others. I have not used these to freeze [ I have another favorite for that

My Brother told me about these and after trtying out the first set I ordered two more. They really do keep lettuce and other fragile produce fresh for so much longer. I accidentally left fresh strawberries in one for three weeks and there was no mold on them. I love that the plastic is the “safe” kind. They can be used in the freezer, microwave and are dishwasher safe. I have saved a bundle on traditional plastic storage bags and previously discarded food. It’s great to cut up all my veggies and fruit for the week and have them stay as fresh as they day I bought them and ready to eat anytime. My husband even raves about them, which says ALOT!
