Progressive International Collapsible Party Carrier Review
I bring one of three things to parties: Rhubarb meringue pie, Bundt cake, or deviled eggs. While researching another product, I discovered this amazing carrier that was apparently made just for me!
The collapsible dome easily clears my meringue. And the reversible interior trays can hold two “flat” pies or two dozen deviled eggs. (Each tray has 12 slots for eggs. So 24 egg “halves.”)
At first, I was a bit concerned about the latches that hold the domed top to the base tray, but they lock solidly and haven’t opened during transport.
The handle also doesn’t seem very sturdy, but it easily supports a couple pies.
The only complaint I have is that the little locking nubs on the legs of the interior tray will wear down or get scraped off after a few uses. The legs are made of a fairly soft plastic. I don’t think this will be a problem, but it’s my only complaint.
We’ll see how the rubber (maybe silicone?) area holds up over time. Hopefully it won’t get brittle with age because I plan to use this carrier for decades.
The interior trays fit inside the carrier with the dome collapsed to it even stores easily.
It’s labeled as dishwasher-safe, but I’m going to hand wash to hopefully extend the life of the flexible areas.
I’ve never found a baked-goods carrier I was happy with before. But I love this goofy gadget.
